Nirmala Sitharaman has announced new GST amendment which turn into a great relief for hoteliers and the travellers.
On 20 September 2019, the event was held in fern kadamba hotel and spa Panjim Goa, honorable finance minister Nirmala sitharaman has announced new amendment which has turned to great relief for the hotels are as well as travellers.
Hotel which is selling the rooms on the tariff of INR.1000 below will attract no GST. The hotels were selling the rooms and the tariff of of INR.7500 and below with attract 12% GST instead of 18%. The hotel was selling rooms under INR.7500 and above will attract 18% GST instead of 28%. Outdoor catering will now charge 5% GST instead of 18% with input tax credit facility. Caffeinated beverages will attract 20% GST instead of 40%.
